On September 7, 2024, we had the privilege to be the Diamond Sponsor for the 3rd annual Reggae on the Lake. The event took place at Lake Anne Plaza and hosted over 5,000 attendees.
Reggae on the Lakes mission is to bring life and love to Lake Anne and the Greater Reston Community. TERRA Gives Back is the non-profit subsidiary of TERRA Properties that organizes the festival which provides multiple avenues to fundraising for deserving local charities.
The festival had activities for all ages including games, face painting and balloon art for kids, crafts, other vendors, arts food and beverage tents, live music, and so much more! It was an incredible turnout that allowed kmG Hauling to share with those that came to our booth about who we are and what we do. We had 18 kmG employees volunteer at our booth to meet with locals, chat about our mission, and enjoy the activities as well!
Katya Mamontova, a kmG employee and volunteer said, “It was a fantastic and fun-filled day! One of the highlights was seeing the kids’ reactions to our replica trucks and handing out coloring books. It was heartwarming to see their excitement. Additionally, parents were very interested in learning about trash and recycling, which led to some great conversations. I’m grateful for the chance to represent kmG Hauling at such a vibrant event.”
The volunteers felt that Reggae on the Lake was a rewarding experience and felt that it was a privilege to connect and network with the local community. Daniela Duncan, a kmG employee and volunteer, was honored to be a part of the event. She said, “I was very proud of the assistance and engagement from our team, which helped make the event such a success. Their support played a key role in ensuring everything ran smoothly and contributed to positive community interaction. Connecting with the community and seeing the excitement in the kids’ faces was the highlight!”
